About Me

With over a decade of teaching English that has taken me from the United Kingdom to New Zealand and now to my current home in Australia, I am excited to share my passion for education with students worldwide through online tutoring.

Throughout my journey, I have refined my teaching skills and developed a profound appreciation for creating enriching learning environments. Taking my enthusiasm abroad, I added an international flair to my teaching style during my time in New Zealand. Now, firmly established in Australia, I bring a wealth of global teaching experiences to the virtual classroom.

Skills and Experience

I have consistently held the belief that the pursuit of knowledge extends beyond the confines of formal education, a conviction that has driven me to continuously enhance my own skills to deliver an optimal learning experience for my students.

In 2020, amidst a backdrop of significant turbulence and change, I embarked on the journey of obtaining my Masters degree in Educational Leadership. The challenges of the times necessitated a shift to online learning, with the majority of my education conducted through Zoom during the initial year. This marked the commencement of my exposure to and proficiency in online learning. Subsequently, in 2021, I successfully attained my Master of Educational Leadership and Practice with Distinction from The University of Auckland.

In my capacity as both an External Assessment marker and Confirmer for the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA), I possess a comprehensive understanding of assessment criteria and valuable insights into effective exam preparation strategies. This proficiency empowers me to guide students not only in grasping the subject matter but also in excelling in examinations.

Having served as a NAPLAN marker, I have acquired a nuanced understanding of the intricacies of standardized testing. Leveraging this experience, I am well-equipped to offer invaluable insights that aid students in navigating these assessments with confidence.
